Cleaning your slow cooker can be a real chore especially when you have cooked a particularly sticky meal like macaroni cheese, peach sponge cobbler or risotto . These sort of recipes often require leaving the pot with warm soapy water in it and then gently coaxing off the sticky food residue whilst trying not to scratch the pot. However these slow cooker liners might eliminating this tiresome task completely. Simply place one in your slow cooker, add the ingredients, cook, serve and then pick up the bag and throw away. Leaving you with a slow cooker pot that only requires placing in the dishwasher or a minimal amount of washing.
Each Slow cooker liner pack contains 4 large liners and cost £1.39. The liner measures 30cm x 55cm and it can easily fit my 5.7 litre capacity slow cooker.
These slow cooker liners are:
- BPA free
- Made in the UK
- Suitable for freezing
- Fit most sized slow cookers
We tested the liners on several recipes and were delighted with the result. Take my macaroni cheese recipe. Delicious but it always sticks to the side. When I used the liners the food cooked perfectly. I could stir gently without tearing the bag (unlike foil which I’ve used before to line the cooker) and once I had served the food I just pick up the cooled bag and placed it in the bin. No black, sticky food on the pot. No long soaking. No fear of scratching the pot to remove the residue.
I also used the liners in the fridge. I prepared some ingredients for a slow cooker recipe the night before and put them in a liner. Then the next morning I simply took the bag out of the fridge and put it carefully into the slow cooker.
These are so easy and affective. I would definitely use these liners again for recipes that may stick to the pot. If you are interested in buying these liners you can order them at www.slowcookerliners.co.uk or ring 01704898957 or buy from Amazon.co.uk
